Don't Just Do It!

When the B & Q Distribution Centre was built at Manton Wood, just outside Worksop, there was little indication that the band would be invited to play for the Family Fun Day they had in June 2006.   And what a good thing it was.

Out of this came a spontaneous offer of financial support by the Company.

Having drawn up a 'wish list' the Company offered substantial grant aid which the band has been delighted to accept.  Amongst other things there will be two new cornets, a baritone and three student instruments, together with music stand banners, fleeces and waterproofs.

Needless to say, the band will be supporting Company functions for the foreseeable future, amongst its other engagements.

There is a mutual desire for the relationship to be long term.
